Moscow schoolboy Volodya accidentally fishes out of the Moscow River a mysterious lamp, from which the genie Khottabych appears. He promises to fulfill any of his wishes, but each of them turns into unexpected consequences. Magic multiplies, rather than solves Volodya's problems.
